Beautiful Condition With Lustrious Mercuric Gilt Fittings


NSKK  chained dagger for sale, made by Tiger, Solingen, and bearing both their full trademark, and their RZM designation, 'RZM M7/68'. The Marine chained dagger with a fine, mid-brown fruitwood  grip with SA Runes eye, and eagle & swastika motifs.

The eagle & swastika motif in nickle-silver. The Runes-eye in a pleasdant light brown enamel. The NSKK Marine chained dagger with typical mercuric gilt plated mounts thoughout. The dagger blade with the SA/NSKK motto to the obverse, and the reverse with the full Tiger trademark, and the RZM maker-code designation, 'M7/68.' 

The scabbard with black painted finish , and with mercuric gilt plated scabbard mounts. The dagger chains with alternating eagle & swastika links, and sunwheel swastika motifs, along with the top oakleaves spring clip. The reverse to the chains with the NSKK Musterschutz- and RZM designation. Additionally, the top spring clip has the number '38'. 

Condition report: The dagger in overall excellent to near mint condition. Uncleaned. The wood grip perfect, free from damage or marks, and with a particularly nice grain showing through. An excellent fit to the upper and lower crossguards, with little contraction. The blade with 99% of its original polish and crossgrain with just the faintest runner - and graying marks visible. The motto partivularly clear and sharp. All the original letter darkening in place.

The scabbard with 98% black paint finish;some age spidering below the paint surface, and a few small marks to field. The plated-mounts in a very good state of preservation, with 98% +  fine mercuric gilt plated finish.  All screws present and undisturbed. Bottom ball perfect. Spring clip functioning. Nice fit between the dagger and the scabbard.
